Bearing with it! - Day Five

Yes, a bear joke.

Anyhow, today was pretty similar to the day before with more photo shooting time!

1. I woke up
2. Got ready
3. Prepared my lunch
4. Waited for pick up
5. Was driven to the sanctuary, I roughly timed it as I forgot to do so yesterday, it takes between 35 and 40 minutes to get there from the apartment.
6. Walked around the enclosure to get to the building.
   This walk takes maybe about 15 minutes to the main building from the entrance (not particularly interesting picture of it below)
   
   
   
7. Headed upstairs to put things away
8. Took out camera because we had a little time before the tour of the sanctuary began
9. Stayed near the building and took some photos of the bears and the lazing around dogs - they often greet us when we arrive as they roam free around the area.
   
   
   
   
   
   
10. After about 20 minutes of photographing, we headed to the entrance again to help out with the tour. Again there were quite a few people and the general purpose of our presence is to stop anyone going to the restricted area, really this is just the quarantine area. Estelle (one of the other volunteers) was more helpful than I was on the tour as she was able to answer questions about the sanctuary and the bears, etc. I'm new though so will continue to try and learn about the place and hopefully eventually be able to do the same - was given a book on the bear sanctuary this morning also so that should help.
11. Following the tour, the food had arrived for us to organise, take out the packagings and get rid of any rubbish thrown in with the food. The quantity of food wasn't as much as it was yesterday and so we finished relatively quickly. As no additional delivery was expected today we finished early, our duties done, we grabbed our things, got our cameras ready and headed around the enclosures to take photos.
    I was able to explore more of the area and also see an Asiatic black bear, a fox and some wolves.
    
     
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
    
12. Said hi to Mia (think it is spelt that way), who is the bear in quarantine, the little one no older than two years, attempted a hand shake but managed a patting on the head :D
13. Took photos outside of the sanctuary whilst waiting to be picked up.
    
    
14. Picked up earlier than yesterday, we headed back to Brasov followed by a prompt visit to the shops to get some more food supplies.
15. Relaxed and started photo processing.
16. Typed this.
17. Slept.
