The Return - Day Thirteen
Today we met Brigetta, a new volunteer. She's currently staying in a nearby hotel till some room is created in the apartment via Kristen leaving. Because of this we had to be picked up a little earlier than usual, though not by much, just 15 minutes earlier.
Arriving at the sanctuary, we made our walk to the building but as the delivery had not arrived yet, we made a start on clearing leaves away, those two piles of leaves I made yesterday. After this the delivery arrived and we started to move on the fruit and veg, moved pretty quickly today and so had a nice midday lunch.
Following that, we made a move onto the trench beside the building which was still showing the remains of the winter. A whole lot of wet leaves and ice. We started off okay, but as time went on and we progressed, the ice started to become a problem. I made a move for the axe. The ice no longer stood in our way. A while later the second delivery came along but was only eggs from what we could see. Not a difficult task, it was the big boxes of eggs, and they were frozen, so no spillage.
With that completed, we were finished and able to take Brigetta on a tour around the sanctuary, and snap some shots :D
After happy snapping, we jumped into the car and made our way to the electronic store/shopping centre in order to find a power adaptor for my netbook. Marian was kind enough to stop by on the way back to the apartment and translate for me. I would have most likely struggled to explain properly to the sales assistant about my situation. The first shop was a no go but we were referred to a more specialist electronics store about 100 metres further down the road. Medium story short, I got my power adaptor!
Excitedly returning, I frantically searched for some scissors to open the packaging. Cutting it open and getting the adaptor out, I tried each connector to see if it fitted to the netbook... it didn't...

Is the resemblance of what was going through my head.
Kristen tried again and managed to insert one of the connectors into the netbook.
SUCCESS!!!
And there you have the story of the return of my netbook!
THE END.
Oh and shortly after that we headed to the same restaurant as the one I attended on my first night. This time is was for Brigetta. I had the chicken pizza and a ursus beer.
